"Up to the Barn" received a second place award in the Mary S. Oakley Area Artists Showcase at the Quincy Art Center last weekend. Also juried into that show was Skirt and Blouse 08.4Both of these works began with the disperse dying process. Dyed fabrics were then collaged onto canvas with other fabrics and the dye papers. They are embellished with machine and hand stitching and paint.
